イベントログを眺めていたら、Bits-Clientに関するエラーが出ていたため、
原因調査・対応をした時のメモ。
■環境
- WindowsServer2008 R2
- ActiveDirectory構築済
■イベントログ

次のエラーにより、ピア ヘルパー モジュールの初期化に失敗しました: 0x80070032。
■原因
Background Intelligent Transfer Service(BITS)の設定のため。
詳細は以下のForumsの「Miya Yao」氏の発言を参照のこと。
The error message you got is related to the peer help module in BITS service.
Is it a domain-joined computer?
A Peer caching is started with BITS 4.0 in Windows 7, the BITS service was extended to allow subnet-level peer caching for downloaded URL data by using Windows BranchCache. BITS clients can retrieve data by using Windows BranchCache. BITS clients can retrieve data from other computers in their own subnet that have already download the data instead of retrieving the data from remote servers.
I think this warning happened when the client failed to retrieve data from other computers.
To confirm this, I recommend disable the Windows BranchCache by Group Policy on a test compter.
Locate to: Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Background Intelligent Transfer Service(BITS).
On the right pane, enable the following:
Do not allow the BITS clients to use Windows Branche Cache
Do not allow the computer to act as a BITS Peercaching client
Do not allow the computer to act as BITS Peercaching server
Then check if you can get that warning again.
■対応
環境内ではブランチキャッシュは使用していないため、
フォーラムに記載されていた内容で、グループポリシーを変更。
変更のパスは、以下。
コンピューターの構成
＞ポリシー
＞管理用テンプレート
＞ネットワーク
＞バックグラウンド インテリジェント転送サービス(BITS)
その中の以下のポリシーを「有効」にする
- BITSクライアントでのWindowsブランチキャッシュの使用を許可しない
- コンピューターがBITSのピアキャッシュクライアントとして動作しないようにする
- コンピューターがBITSのピアキャッシュサーバーとして動作しないようにする
上記の変更を行い再起動したところ、エラーは表示されなくなった。
そのため、対応は完了とした。
